The Genasys Positioning Platform (GPP) is a world-class location platform that provides security and privacy controls, centralized ecosystem management, a standards-based location API, LBS roaming, and more on a scalable and highly robust architecture.

GPP acts as the command and control centre of the location environment to simplify administration and facilitate future growth and change. Why do you need a location enabling server like GPP?

Here are just a few reasons:
  • To create an open environment that doesn't limit you to using only proprietary systems and protocols. The GPP platform was built with a commitment to international standards and open systems. APIs are based on Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) standards MLP, RLP, and SUPL. GPP runs on Linux and has also been certified for the powerful Sun Solaris servers. The platform is independent of both the network and location technologies employed so it fits into any operator environment now, and as it changes in the future. Finally, GPP supports multiple location servers including logic to enable quality-of-precision (QoP) routing and billing of requests.
