Vodafone Again Chooses Genasys to Manage its Annual Radio
Emissions Certification
For the fifth consecutive year, Vodafone has chosen Genasys
to perform a significant role in its annual radio emissions
certification for all its base stations in Sapin. The Spanish
telecommunications authority (SETSI) requires all C2 and
B2 licensed operators to test and certify that all their
base stations meet the national and international standards.
The project began this month and will be finalized on March
31, 2006. During this time, Genasys will plan the taking
field measurements, coordinate the work of subcontractors,
collect and analyze the readings, and finally generate and
submit the extensive series of reports required by the SETSI.
Having been awarded this contract in previous years, Genasys
developed an in-house application to auto-generate the reports
in the specific format requested by both the authorities
and by Vodafone. This tool saves a significant amount of
time and effort that might ordinarily be spent on repetitive
tasks, thus allowing technicians to focus on the technical
matters and to submit the reports on time and to precise
specifications. Over the years Genasys has been the contractor
that consistently produces the most on-time and high-quality
reports of all submissions.
