Mar 2005. Genasys updates the official database of regional development areas (ERDF) in Spain

During 2003 and 2004, Genasys designed and developed a web service that allows users to enter a geographic address to find out which European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) zone it corresponds to. One of the tasks involved in this project was the collection of ERDF zone demarcations and geographic demarcations (specific source cartography) in order to assign borders to the ERDF zones. These borders correspond to autonomous communities, provinces, municipalities, census district, census municipality, region, neighborhood, and municipal district and are to be updated for cross-referencing with the National Institute of Statistics post code database and integration with online ERDF information system.
