Genasys Joins Telefónica's Initiative to Boost Innovation and Development of New Mobile Services

This month, Genasys joined Telefónica's MovilForum, an initiative with diverse benefits to both forum members and independent mobile application development studios.

By participating as a member, Genasys will share information and expertise with other MovilForum members and collaborate with application developers throughout Spain.

Genasys Vice President of Sales, Agustin Cuenca comments, "We feel strongly about the potential that mobile location-based applications have not only in the local market but in markets throughout the world. Participating in MovilForum will allow us to help promote the development of the LBS applications and provide us with new technical contacts and potential partners."

Genasys is the provider responsible for the location-based services platform that Movistar has been using to deliver mobile LBS since 2002. MovilForum members designing and building new LBS will use the MLP standard location protocol supported by the GPP platform and will have access to the movistar GPP platforms for development and testing of new applications.
